IDEX Pump Technologies Shows Their Continued Support for Autistic Young Adults

Teams from IDEX Pump Technologies (IPTI) in Shannon, Ireland, recently visited the Dóchas Café, which is operated by autistic young adults aiming to acquire transferable skills for future job opportunities, to enjoy a delightful team breakfast celebrating the team’s support of the organization.

Over the past 18 months, IPTI has donated $100,000 USD and contributed 200 hours of volunteer work to six charities including Dóchas , a charity dedicated to equipping autistic young adults with essential skills and knowledge for securing employment in their communities.

Last year, IPTI set out to establish training and development opportunities for the young adults at Dóchas that could eventually land them a job. Trainings included cooking lessons, art classes, and resume writing tips in partnership with local businesses. By learning within a supportive environment, these young adults can one day safely transition into their own daily work routine.

With support from a grant from the IDEX Foundation and IPTI employees who volunteered a collective 120 hours over 18 months, they were able to complete the new Life Skills Room!
