Rahul Sharma

Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Rahul has applied aspects of his law degree and the IDEX Operating Model to build programs across the company, including the company’s cybersecurity approach. Today he leads the IDEX Corporate IT function as Chief Information Officer, a role he has held since December 2023.

After his company was acquired by IDEX, Rahul became intrigued by what makes IDEX grow. He took a keen interest in the operational excellence brought about by the essence of the IDEX Difference. He applied that to the newly acquired business, where he was the Director of IT, leaning into the data driven decision making and accountability of the IDEX Operating Model.

Over the years, Rahul took that same approach to excellence and applied it to various roles within Corporate IT, from being the Director of IT for the company’s Asia-Pacific businesses, to working with business units on IoT initiatives and the possibilities with machine learning.

In 2018, with the world of information security changing rapidly, Rahul took on the role of Director of Information Security and organized the company’s cybersecurity program, creating and implementing key processes for IDEX. Increasingly, global regulations were incorporating cybersecurity requirements. Leveraging his law degree, Rahul answered to the General Counsel and incorporated his technical skills and legal knowledge to align the cyber program with the compliance team. He was named Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in 2021.

Since becoming the CIO in 2023, Rahul has been focused on aligning the IT team with IDEX’s strategic direction, leveraging the power of technology to assist with the company’s organic and inorganic growth initiatives.

Rahul earned a juris doctorate and a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico. He enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and two dogs, playing music with longtime bandmates, and enjoying time outdoors with friends.
