IDEX Academy Celebrates Newest Management Excellence Program (MEP) Graduates

July 13, 2026

Congratulations to our extended colleagues who recently graduated from the IDEX Academy Management Excellence Program (MEP)! The six-month experience with three in-person weeks is designed to empower leaders in building effective teams and driving organizational success.

Week 1 focused on leadership foundations with a visit to Hale, a unit of IDEX based in Ocala, Florida, U.S.A. All 24 participants engaged in sessions such as Situational Leadership and Leading Trust, Team & Excellence. In week two, the group visited IDEX business unit Trebor in West Jordan, Utah, U.S.A with a focus on sustaining IDEX culture. With noteworthy sessions on Change Management and Inclusion Leadership & Psychological Safety.

“The Inclusive Leadership & Psychological Safety session really stuck with me.  People must feel included and safe to share ideas/concerns with the team. The tones and messages we send as leaders can have a positive impact on this. I am now checking in during the meeting and stating an expectation of accountability for myself, and the team and I think it is making a difference in people’s willingness to have healthy conflict or hold each other accountable in a respectful way,” shared Director of Business Systems, MSS.

Participants were placed in groups to evaluate a real-time problem at Flow Management Devices (FMD) – a unit of IDEX – and propose a solution to the team. At the IDEX Headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois, U.S.A, the final in-person week included a capstone simulation and individual leadership presentations focused on participants individual development plans.

During programming, the cohort took time to volunteer with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake City. Leaders spent their day handling multiple tasks (and fun side quests). You could find Monica and John gardening and tidying the outdoor space, while Rich initiated a pick-up basketball game with the students. Meanwhile, some volunteers prepared “prize bags” for the upcoming school year while others channeled their World Cup energy for a football/soccer scrimmage with the kids.

“Volunteering at The Boys and Girls Club in Salt Lake City was one of the most rewarding parts of the MEP program. Our group of leaders suddenly had a common mission, and it was amazing to see everyone step up, get their hands dirty, and work together,” said Direct Sales Lead, Viking Pump.

MEP is part of the IDEX Academy programs led by IDEX Corporate Human Resources’ Global Talent Development Team.
