IDEX India Foundation Expands Its Giving Footprint to Include Disability Organization

Following the successful advancement of its long-standing girls’ education initiative with Vatsalya Trust, Mumbai—which is now self-sufficient—the IDEX India Foundation is expanding its giving footprint to address a new area of need.

Following a comprehensive need assessment, IDEX India Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with Muskan Foundation for People with Multiple Disabilities, Mumbai. This marks an important milestone in their journey, as it is their first initiative dedicated to supporting the disabled community.

About Muskan Foundation

Muskan Foundation works with children with Multiple Disabilities and Vision Impairment (MDVI), providing them with special education, therapeutic interventions, and a nurturing environment that enables them to learn, grow, and lead dignified lives.

In June, representatives from the IDEX India Foundation visited Muskan Foundation’s Bandra Center in Mumbai to formally hand over a check — marking the beginning of this partnership. The visit included the following events:

  • Helen Keller Day with the children, honoring the American disability rights advocate who lost her sight and hearing after an illness at 19 months old
  • Basic sign language course
  • Special education and therapy sessions
  • Interactive activities with the children and the dedicated team at Muskan Foundation.
“The visit was both humbling and inspiring. The resilience, determination, and joy demonstrated by the children reinforced that ability is never defined by disability,” shared Rinkal Rohit, CSR Executive.

Creating Lasting Impact

Through this partnership, IDEX India Foundation will support the Special Education and Therapy Program through 2026-27, directly impacting 33 children and their families.

This initiative reflects our commitment to building a more inclusive society and creating opportunities for every child to learn, develop, and thrive, regardless of the challenges they face.

This new initiative would not have been made possible without the vision, guidance, and unwavering support of the IDEX India Foundation Trustees and the Mumbai Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
