A business leader with more than 30 years of experience focused on strategic growth and operational excellence, Shane Leonard leads the Fluid & Metering Technologies (FMT) segment. His leadership responsibilities include the company’s core pump and valve businesses, along with IDEX Energy, IDEX Intelligent Water, and Agriculture. He also leads IDEX operations in Emerging Markets of India, China, and Southeast Asia.
Shane joined IDEX Corporation in 2014 and has progressed through a series of leadership roles, using the IDEX Operating Model to drive operational excellence and growth. From his work with Energy, to Global Dispensing to Emerging Markets, Shane has helped teams drive increased sales and profitability through a focus on business strategy, new product development and efficiency gains.
Prior to IDEX, Shane held various management, operations, and commercial leadership roles at General Electric, Highway Technologies, and Danaher. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin in Ireland, and a Master’s Degree in Management Science (MBA) from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University
Shane enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife, especially returning home to Ireland several times a year to spend time with family and friends.
